I watched a short video on You Tube that popped up when I was looking for videos on constructivism. This video portrays a teacher-centered learning environment. It was a very boring environment and the students were not listening, interacting, and most of all learning. Yuck! Watch this video if you want to learn how to bore you students.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm in many high school classrooms. I can't figure out how to get it through my high school teachers' heads that true learning does not look like that video. Some of them think that movement, noise, investigation, creation of artifacts, etc. is "froo froo" and not serious enough for whatever content they are teaching. Harumph (sound of my frustration.)
